Event Description

Professor Coleman is well-known for his 1966 report, "Equality of Educational Opportunity," which dealt with effects of school desegregation on quality of education and for his 1982 book, High School Achievement: Public, Catholic and Private Schools Compared. He has served on the President's Science Advisory Committee and is a member of the National Academy of Education, the American Philosophical Society and the National Academy of Science. In his lecture here, he will discuss follow-up studies on the subject of his 1982 book.
