Event Description

With the growth of Asia's scientific and technological strength, American universities, including Illinois, have responded by increasing their engagement with the region. While there are clear benefits of doing so, including access to new collaborators and additional resources, there are also potential pitfalls. In this panel, Chancellor Herman and Vice Chancellor for Research Zukoski will discuss the science and technology related initiatives the University of Illinois has undertaken in Asia, their rationale and the vision for future programs and projects.
