Event Description

In the past 200 years, there have been substantial changes in how human societies view and treat animals. Today, there are considerable tensions and inconsistencies in how humans perceive and treat animals both within societies and across different societies. This presentation will explore some of the trends in our treatment of animals, some of the inconsistencies in the way animals are presented in societies and will track how changing human perceptions have affected the way we manage the human-animal interaction.
