THE VIOLIN WORKS OF GEORGE ENESCU

The project result in a book about the performance of the violin works of George Enescu (1881-1955) who, together with Bela Bartok, Igor Stravinsky, and Karol Szymanowsky, is one of the giants of musical composition of the 20th century representing East European musical tradition and folklore. In addition to his compositional and conducting activities, Enescu was also one of the great violinists of his time and his creative output for his instrument is an innovative and invaluable testimonial of both his artistry and compositional skills.
