Operator Algebras

Professor Ruan's earlier research is concentrated on the study of the matricial norm structure of operator spaces and operator algebras. He plans to continue his investigations forward to further developments and their applications to (1) the theory of operator spaces in connection with the theory of Banach spaces; (2) the intrinsic relationship between Hopf von Neumann algebras and Fourier algebras for locally compact groups; (3) the matricial norm characterization for dual operator algebras.
