Building on his extensive and unparalleled record of research and publications on the social and political history of Zimbabwe, Terence Ranger explores themes of embodiment, social cohesion and dislocation in the aftermaths of violence in that country. He pays particular attention to recent scholarship examining notions of landscape as generative of imagination and memory.
