Event Description

Formed in 1982 by four Americans who perform in well-known European orchestras, the American Horn Quartet enjoys increasing popularity in the brass chamber music world. Unique in the field of music performance, the AHQ offers an intriguing repertoire, which includes not only traditional classical works for horn but imaginative arrangements and prize-winning compositions written by members of the quartet. The result is a refreshing new realization of the possibilities of horn performance.

In this MillerComm presentation, the American Horn Quartet combines discussion and performance with an enthusiasm sure to appeal to musicians and music lovers alike as they offer perspectives from the American and European traditions.
