Event Description

On March 12, 1959, Hawai'i became the 50th state of the United States against the documented wishes of an overwhelming majority of the native Hawaiian population. Currently, there are at least three major movements in Hawai'i whose main objective is the secession of Hawai'i from the States. All three of these movements claim as their motivation, and justification, the historical events which will be outlined in Dr. Kame'eleihiwa's presentation.
